About "La tana"
Hello and welcome in La Tana Handicraft!
I started making handicraft during my first trip around South America and here you find the result of what i learned there :)
Most of the things are handmade using a technic called "macramé", a word with French origin which means "knot". Seems like this art started in the Arabic countries and has been after exported to Europe and America.
The materials I use are waxed threads, seeds and stones. Most of them I buy them in South America.
I also work metals like for example alpaca (a copper alloy with nickel and often zinc), copper and silver.
I hope you like my work, you are more than welcome to have a look at it and in case you would like to buy something just get in touch with me!
Many items are unique pieces but in some cases it is possible to make them again.
